Award-Winning Kitchen Stroble Residence in Ridgeland’s Dinsmor Community.
Winner of the 2012 Best in Mississippi: The Single Family Award for Kitchen Remodel
The original floor plan featured a very small, cramped kitchen the new owner deemed claustrophobic for true cooking enjoyment. In the renovation, Paul opened the kitchen to the breakfast area, dining room and family den. The process required the removal of all flooring, appliances and cabinets. The wall between the kitchen and living area was opened to construct a new countertop and sitting bar. Appliances were relocated and a new pantry was added for better organization and use of space. The new shaker-style cabinets were modified from the original set to provide more elbow space and room to move for the chef. The dining room door was removed, along with an unused closet. All new Kitchen Aid appliances, quartz countertops, antique pine floors, and softer lighting completed the look the homeowner wanted.
